Dr. Raney Commet, a certified family nurse practitioner with over 30 years of experience is ready to be your healthcare partner. She has an extensive and varied background working in critical care, hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, urgent care, and teaching at the university level. She specializes in women’s healthcare, including hormone therapy, and is well versed in pediatrics, urgent care, and all aspects of family medicine.

PHLEX Medical is a cash practice that empowers you in your healthcare. To keep the focus on you, we do not bill insurance however, some insurances may reimburse you at out of provider rates.

Meet Dr. Raney Commet

Dr. Raney Commet, has extensive experience as a Registered Nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner.

She worked for 7 years as a Registered Nurse at St. Elizabeth’s/ Providence hospital in ICU/ACU and Labor and Delivery. From 1999-2008, she worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner with the underserved population in Wapato, Sunnyside, and Yakima. She spent 7 years at Yakima Neighborhood Health Services specializing in women’s healthcare, pediatrics, internal medicine, and urgent care. She additionally spent 2 years as a Deputy Medical Director for adult medicine and was the Team Leader for the National Health Disparities Diabetes Collaborative. From May 2008 – August 2010, Dr. Raney worked as a Hospitalist with the Yakima Regional Cardiac and Medical Center Hospitalist Group providing total care for inpatients from admission to discharge.

Always progressive, Dr. Raney opened an independent nurse practitioner clinic in 2010 and continues to provide excellent patient care, always ensuring the patient is priority, in the outpatient healthcare setting. She completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing at Washington State University and her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions.

OUR SERVICES

Medical Services: Treatment, Testing, and Procedures 

Dr. Raney is a dedicated partner in your healthcare goals guiding prevention and managing acute and chronic conditions. She will coordinate care with specialists and other providers, order and manage labs at the facility of your choice, and prescribe and manage medication therapy.

Some examples of acute conditions:

UTI, rash, sinus symptoms, fever, cold and flu symptoms, sprains/strains, simple lacerations.

Some examples of chronic conditions:

Diabetes, depression, asthma, arthritis, ADD, high blood pressure, hormone replacement therapy

In office testing for:

Strep throat, urine dip, pulse oximetry, blood glucose

In office procedures:

Ear wax removal, Nebulizer breathing treatments, Drainage of abscesses, Simple laceration repair, Pap smear, Biopsy and removal of lesions, Suture and staple removal

Fees

Don’t you hate when you receive that surprisingly large medical bill? We have set costs for both our medical and IV services, so you know exactly how much you will pay! No hidden fees or monthly costs, ever (we do provide a membership program for our IV Lounge)!

New patient or established complicated patient: $220.00

Established uncomplicated: $150 - $220

After Hour Costs

Appointments for after hours 7pm – 7am require an additional fee to the fee noted above:
7pm – Midnight: $100
Midnight – 7am: $150

Lab and Procedure Fees

Fees for lab tests and procedures will be discussed prior to or during your appointment and are based on cost from supplier.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is Phlex Medical different from health care at a medical clinic?

PHLEX Medical is different in a lot of ways! We do not have set office hours or appointments, you will be scheduled at your convenience on the date and time that works best for you (telemedicine appointments available dependent on condition). You will have direct access to your provider via phone, text, and email. You will know the cost up front with no hidden fees or surprises. You will always speak to a human, no automated phone system (you may need to occasionally leave a message but your call will be returned the same day, typically within an hour or two).

Will my insurance be billed by Phlex Medical?

To keep the focus on individualized care and the patient, not paperwork, Phlex Medical will not bill any insurances. You will however be provided with a superbill to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Call your insurance to confirm if your benefits include reimbursement for out of network providers.

Do I still need to have some type of insurance coverage if I am paying cash?

Yes as insurance may cover some medical expenses such as surgery, lab tests, imaging such as x-rays, MRI, CT scan, specialty and hospital care all of which can be very expensive.

What payment methods do you accept?

Payment is required either before your appointment via a Square invoice or during your appointment. Accepted methods include cash, credit/debit cards, health savings cards (flex accounts), PayPal, ApplePay, and Venmo.

Can I be seen for routine health care?

Yes, in addition to minor illnesses and non-life threatening urgent care, we can help you manage chronic conditions and provide guidance regarding preventative care.

Are you able to prescribe medication and order labs and other tests?

Yes, if indicated prescriptions for medications and orders for labs and other tests will be provided at your appointment.

Do you treat infants and children?

Yes, Dr. Raney is certified in family practice so she can see patients of all ages. She has extensive experience in family medicine including pediatrics.
